When Usborne Books came out with the first Sticker Dolly Dressing Book, we all knew it was going to be a huge hit with the kids. What we didn't know, was how much the kids would love the book and how many varieties of the book would be published to keep up with the demand for the children.
What sets Sticker Dolly activity books apart from others? First off, there is a story line that goes with each book. Each book has a theme, so for instance the Sticker Dolly Dressing Back to School focuses on the girls getting ready for and going back to school. Some of the books even have an educational theme to them that teaches about dress in different time periods. The Sticker Dolly Dressing 1920's Fashion book is one such book that teaches girls about the fashion of the Roaring 20's. There is also Sticker Dolly Fashion Long Ago which teaches about fashion from Cleopatra all the way through time on up to the 70's and beyond. My daughter particularly loved dressing Marie Antoinette!
Sticker Dolly books make great gifts too. My daughter always gave these as gifts to her friends and they were always a huge hit at the party. They also make fabulous flower girl and jr bridesmaid gifts, even ring bearer gifts.
These books have given my daughter hours upon hours of enjoyment. They are something she will truly remember from her childhood. Although she is the type of child who likes to dress the dolls with the clothes that were initially designed for it, the stickers are repositional. So if you have a child who likes to dress the dolls in different outfits, she can pick up the clothes and redress another doll with them. The stickiness actually lasts to move the outfit around about 6 or 7 times.
And don't count the boys out! There are fantastic sticker dressing books for boys! These range from Knights, Pirates on up to Soldiers. My daughter actually claims that the Sticker Knight book is the BEST one of the whole entire Sticker Dressing series.
